Who are We?

Who are We?
Creative Ideation Hub (CiH)
We work at the intersection of technology, civic engagement, and policy, supporting communities, grassroots organisations, and public institutions to move from participation as a buzzword to participation that is practical, inclusive, and accountable.

Everything we do is guided by...
Six principles that shape how we work with communities, institutions, and each other.
Community-Centered
We believe sustainable change occurs when communities have the tools, resources, and voice to shape the systems that affect their lives. Communities are co-creators, not beneficiaries.
Technology as an Enabler
Digital tools amplify civic action but aren't solutions alone. We combine technology with human capacity building to create socio-technical systems for change.
Power-Sharing
We practise what we preach. Communities and marginalised groups hold decision-making power in our work, not just consultation rights.
Systems Thinking
We address root causes, not just symptoms. Our interventions target multiple leverage points including individual capacity, institutional practices, cultural norms, and infrastructure.
Evidence-Based
We document what works and share learnings openly, including failures. We contribute to knowledge on civic innovation and participatory governance.
Open & Collaborative
We open-source methodologies and share resources freely. We view other civic actors as partners, not competitors. Democracy thrives through collaboration.
